MBA fresher resume format

MBA placement resumes are read faster than any other category. A campus panel may see two hundred in a sitting, all with the same degree from the same institute, which means the only variable is how sharply each bullet is written.

One page, without exception. Most B-schools mandate it, and the ones that do not still screen as though they had.

Everything is quantified. An MBA bullet without a number is treated as an unsupported claim, and specialisation-relevant numbers matter more than impressive-sounding ones.

Section order

Top to bottom. The order matters more than the styling, because it decides what a reader sees in the first few seconds.

HeaderName, phone, email, LinkedIn. Institute and roll number if the placement cell requires it.

What has to be on the page

A number in nearly every bullet: revenue, cost, headcount, percentage, timeline.
Pre-MBA work experience with the role scope made explicit, not just the job title.
The summer internship with the mandate stated and the recommendation or conversion outcome if positive.
Achievements ranked against a stated cohort size, so 'winner' has a denominator.

Bullets in the right shape

Bracketed values are placeholders. Substitute your own real figures, and leave a line out entirely rather than inventing a number for it.

Yes. Nearly every Indian B-school placement cell mandates a single page in a prescribed format, and recruiters at campus drives expect it. Two pages reads as an inability to prioritise, which is itself a screened trait.

How do I show pre-MBA experience as an MBA fresher?

As a full work-experience section above the internship, quantified the same way. Two to three years of pre-MBA work is often the strongest differentiator on the page, so it should not be compressed into one line.

Do I include my 10th and 12th marks on an MBA resume?

Yes, if your placement cell's format requires it, which most do. Consulting and banking recruiters in India commonly check academic consistency across all levels.
